Client Information
Here, you'll find information for new and current clients. Learn about what it means to be a Swinging M Wellness client, from evaluation to maintenance.
The Process
Evaluation Series
You can schedule your first session using the "book now" button or by contacting Mary directly. Typically, this first appointment takes 2 hours and encompasses a brief medical history, paperwork, and a comprehensive full-body session. If you book online, please include an address in the "notes" section. If you do not provide an address where the appointment will be completed and we are unable to reach you, your appointment will be canceled.

New clients are required to complete the evaluation series, which includes your initial evaluation and 3 additional follow-up appointments booked within the following two weeks. We find this allows clients to reach optimal outcomes and gets their fascial systems over the "hump" of adjusting to myofascial work.
Maintenance Sessions
After the evaluation series (4 appointments in total) have been completed, you and your therapist will discuss how best to transition to a "maintenance" schedule. This varies for each client, and your therapist will suggest a schedule best for you depending on how your body is adjusting to sessions and modalities. Typically, clients move to once a week for 1-2 sessions, then move to 10 days, then 2-3 weeks. Many clients reach a point to be on an "as needed" basis at some point, which just means you call us when you need us.
Acute Sessions
Acute sessions are for established clients who have an immediate need to book a session. For example, you could have slept, moved, or lifted incorrectly, and something feels "off." We will try to fit you in for a session as soon as our schedule allows, but we do not guarantee a same-day appointment. As a disclaimer, remember that Swinging M Wellness therapists are not legally able to diagnose acute medical conditions. If a serious medical condition is suspected (such as a fracture or ruptured disc, among others), we recommend that you contact your primary medical provider or seek immediate medical care.
